Main Presentation:

The main presentation was on "Tech Toys and Gadgets Showcase" which is where members brought in their electronic toys they got for Christmas.  This gave members a chance to see some of the new electronic items out this year.

Second presentation was how to create a Lazesoft Recovery Suite Home Edition disk.

February 2017 Main Presentations:

The main presentation was Tunity a free app that lets you stream sound from your TV to your mobile device.

Second presentation was on the All in One – System Rescue Toolkit which can be used to repair your Windows 10 machine.

Beginners Presentation:

The beginners presentation was on how to snap programs and how to use find in various programs in windows 10.

Cancelled:

Unfortunately due to weather and scheduling problems we had to Cancel the March Meeting. We are trying to reschedule John Choi for our June Meeting.

The main presentation was on the use of lifelike human simulators in the healthcare industry. Members heard and saw a live demo by Jon Mazur on the use of these computerized machines being utilized to train healthcare professionals worldwide.

There was a short question and answer session at the end of the meeting.

October 2017 Presentations:

Main Presentation

The main presentation was on the 40 Things I No Longer Carry (Because I Have a Smart Phone)
Presenters: Janis Ramey and Frank Snyder, Osher LifeLong learning Institute of the University of Pittsburgh.

Janis and Frank showed how
smart phones allow you to take pictures, send texts, and look up things on the internet. T
his can remove a lot of weight and clutter from your briefcase or handbag. In their presentation, they showed at least 40 physical things that a smart phone can replace. For example, you don’t need to carry an appointment book, road map, flashlight, compass, pedometer, notebook, or string to tie around your finger for a reminder.

Second Presentation:

The second presentation was on the"Multitasking on your iPad" by John Korkowski. John showed how to do more than one thing at a time on the Apple tablet.

Abby Stokes explained what everyone is talking about when they bring up Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites. She also shared how you can enjoy the benefits without risking the loss of your privacy. Abby is the author of the book "Is This Thing On? A Friendly Guide to Everything Digital for Newbies, Technophobes and the Kicking & Screaming".
